Toei's continuation of last year's Kamen Rider × Super
Sentai: Super Hero Taisen film to open this spring
The Ibaraki Film Commission posted a notice on Thursday for
extras for a Kamen Rider x Super Sentai x Uchū Keiji Super Hero Taisen Z
crossover film. According to the notice, Toei plans to open the film across
Japan this spring.
The notice states that the film is a sequel to last year's
Kamen Rider × Super Sentai: Super Hero Taisen film (pictured at right), which
featured all 50 characters from the four-decade-long Kamen Rider franchise and
173 members of the teams in the live-action special-effects Super Sentai
franchise. Osamu Kaneda directed that film, which opened at #1 in Japan on
April 21.
Filming for the extras for Kamen Rider x Super Sentai x Uchū
Keiji Super Hero Taisen Z will begin in Ibaraki Prefecture on January 20. The
scene, which will include about 150-200 extras, will feature a natural disaster
in a prosperous town.
Shinichiro Shirakura, producer for the first film, has
confirmed he will also be producing this new film.
