DBZ for Kinect to feature Bardock; Budokai HD Collection slated for European release

The European arm of Namco Bandai Games began streaming a Super Saiyan Bardock promotional video for its Dragon Ball Z for Kinect game on Thursday. The 76-second video reveals that the game will include an exclusive "Episode of Bardock" anime that has never been released in Europe.

The game will feature Super Saiyan Bardock as a playable character for the first time. Players will control characters through the Kinect motion sensor. The game will include 50 playable characters, more than 100 moves, and 30 minutes of new anime footage. "Secret" features and a new character will be available through the game's more than 20 QR codes. Namco Bandai will release the game in for the Xbox 360 console in Europe on October 5 and in North America in October.

Namco Bandai Games also posted an announcement trailer for the Dragon Ball Z Budokai HD Collection game anthology on Thursday. The collection will include the Dragon Ball Z: Budokai and Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 games with re-mastered high-definition visuals as well as full support for trophies and achievements. The set will ship for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles in Europe this winter.

Game developer CyberConnect2 posted a 30-second commercial for its forthcoming Naruto Shippūden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations game for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 on Tuesday. In it, Naruto can be seen in multiple forms: young Naruto, Shippūden Naruto, one-tailed Naruto, six-tailed Naruto, and Naruto in both Sage Mode and Nine Tails Chakra Mode.
CyberConnect2's new game now has more than 70 characters in its roster and has more than 65 minutes of new anime sequence from the television anime's Studio Pierrot. Like in previous games in the series, players can host online tournaments with other people, in addition to the standalone story mode. However, the updated battle system now features faster gameplay as well as new moves and battle modes from later installments of the Naruto storyline. Namco Bandai's European office posted a promotional video for the game in December.
The game will ship in Japan on February 23, in the United States on March 13, and in Europe on March 30. Those who pre-order the game in Europe will receive a soundtrack CD with "the first official rap single of Killer Bee."

2 Dragon Ball Z Ultimate Tenkaichi Game Trailers Streamed [via AnimeNewsNetwork]

Newest Dragon Ball game to be released on the PS3, Xbox 360 on October 25

The official website for the next video game in the Dragon Ball franchise, Dragon Ball Z Ultimate Tenkaichi (Dragon Ball Ultimate Blast in Japan), began streaming two new videos for the game on Friday. The new videos include the video shown at the Tokyo Game Show last month and a teaser commercial.
Dragon Ball Z Ultimate Tenkaichi will feature upgraded environmental and character graphics, with designs drawn from the original manga series. The name Dragon Ball Z Ultimate Tenkaichi was selected by English-speaking fans.
Namco Bandai Games will release the game in North America on October 25 and in Europe on October 28. The game will be released in Japan on December 8.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations Trailer Streamed [via AnimeNewsNetwork]

Ninja battle game for PS3, Xbox 360 to be released spring 2012

Namco Bandai Games began streaming a three-minute trailer for the upcoming North American PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 release of Naruto Shippūden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations on Friday. A one-minute promotional video for the game began streaming on Namco Bandai Games' official website in June.
On the same day the previous promotional video began streaming, Namco Bandai Games announced the North American license of the game to be released next spring. Online retailer Amazon.com lists a February 28, 2012 release date and a US$59.95 retail price for the PlayStation 3 version.
Developed by CyberConnect2, the ninja fighting game includes various online battle modes and characters from throughout Masashi Kishimoto's Naruto manga storyline. This release will include the original Japanese voice acting. Naruto Shippūden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations is the third installment in the Naruto Shippūden: Ultimate Ninja Storm game series.
